1960s Style Modeling Photography

I had some ideas about doing a photoshoot emulating the early 60’s style. Not pinup, but more Vogue/Glamour/Hollywood style as done by Jean Shrimpton, Natalie Wood and, of course, Marilyn Monroe. I reached out to three of the ladies that I had worked with before and we put together this shoot. I also asked my friend Kelsi G. to come in for hair and makeup duties. Kelsi did a great job on all three ladies and perfectly captured the look I had in my head.
Katie was first up for this session. I had shot Katie’s senior pictures earlier this year and I really enjoyed working with her. (Click here to see Katie’s senior pix.) I wanted to fashion Katie in a Marilyn Monroe style. She brought her wonderful red dress and several other outfits and we went to work. Katie did great, especially considering she had virtually no previous modeling experience. Here’s some samples from that session…
