1960s Style Modeling Photography
I had some ideas about doing a photoshoot emulating the early 60’s style. Not pinup, but more Vogue/Glamour/Hollywood style as done by Jean Shrimpton, Natalie Wood and, of course, Marilyn Monroe. I reached out to three of the ladies that I had worked with before and we put together this shoot. I also asked my friend Kelsi G. to come in for hair and makeup duties. Kelsi did a great job on all three ladies and perfectly captured the look I had in my head.
Jordan was our final model for this marathon session. With Jordan, I wasn’t trying to copy the look of a specific actor/model, instead selecting hair, makeup and outfits styles that would be appropriate for the period. Jordan had done a previous classic Hollywood style session with me, (click here for that session) and we already had a good working relationship in the studio. She is great in front of the camera, and we got some fun shots, but I also wanted to do some pix that captured Jordan’s wonderful, intense big eyes. Here’s some samples from that session…
